The Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at All Children’s Hospital provides clinical care and research trials for children, adolescents, and young adults in west and west central Florida. Vinny’s Cancer Center is the only pediatric affiliate of Moffitt Cancer Center and the primary cancer center in west Florida providing multidisciplinary care for children and adolescents.
Our physicians also oversee research, clinical and educational programs within their area of expertise. Pediatric hematology, oncology, and transplant patients have complex physical, psychological, and social needs that are served by our multidisciplinary team approach to care. Team members include specialists from social work, child life, nursing, pharmacy, patient education, and nutrition. The unit is:

The Hematology Program follows approximately 300 patients with sickle cell disease and offers multidisciplinary therapy for these patients and their families.
Coagulopathy and Thrombophilia Program

The Sarcoma Program is in conjunction with Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Damon Reed, who conducts bench research to develop novel chemotherapeutic compounds, leads the sarcoma program and evaluates patients at both Moffitt Cancer Center and All Children’s Hospital.
Blood and Marrow Transplant Program
The Blood and Marrow Transplant Program is affiliated with Moffitt Cancer Center and performs approximately 50 transplants annually.
